This pairing of Nobilia Focus and Riva in White Gloss and Concrete Grey (respectively) is a wonderful mix of contrasting tones and textures. The cool, reflective and Ultra White high gloss below the worktop to the main L-shape run is a stark contrast to the textured Concrete Grey to the wall units and to the island.
With lighting being a large feature in this design we felt that the under worktop LED strip lighting, the pendant lights over the island and the uplighters to the wall units and above the kitchen extraction would reflect too much if the wall units were also in Ultra White High Gloss.
As you can see from the photos, the Nobilia Focus Alpine White lives up to its name as the door fronts are very reflective. Not as reflected as the mirrored splash back granted, but the use of Concrete Grey Nobilia Rova door fronts to the wall units offers a a contrasting textured surface to subtly mute the light just enough to avoid glare.
This customer project using a mix of Nobilia Focus 470 Alpine White & Riva 892 Concrete Grey benefits from a large kitchen footprint and adjacent dining room to offer a very versatile and user friendly room, perfect for entertainment and small family meals at the island countertop alike.
As with any good Nobilia German kitchen there is more to it than meets the eye. With a combination of drawer packs and pull out larder units (with glass side panels) this kitchen has an abundance of storage options.
